sindy bowlingThis my review with 5 starts movers the true is that everything was perfect until they delivery. The problem was that we move to California, and we change our phone numbers. My husband called this company and told them which his new cell phone, they said they will put his new phone number in the system, guest what they did not somehow someone in this company kept my husband’s new cell phone like a secret, in fact, we do not why, and they cannot give us a reasonable explanation. The said that they are not responsible for what happen. The second problem was After that, my husband called a week before we move to another part of California My husband called this company again and they secretary told him that it will take the movers 3 or 4 days that was true, but she did not tell him that they do not accept credit or debit cards. In addition, they did not tell my husband that they only way to pay them was using cash or move order. Anyway, yesterday we try to go all the money services in town someone of the were close, so we told to one of the boss put he was not very helpful with us the customers and he told us that his hands were tie. For those reasons, we call the company in Massachusetts. We told to the secretary again and She said that told us that we should pay by money order, but this was not true when My husband told her Do you want to listen our conversations? She told us it doesn’t matter because the movers are here. After all those problems, I do not recommend anyone to hire this company because you see they are not good with costumers. after many years of working you will think that they will try to avoid any problem for their customers. I do not recommend anyone here in California to hire this company if you do be aware of that something that happen to us can happen you and this company does not care. I do this to prevent that the same thing happens to you that is what I want to do. I do not think they will apologize to us or gives a reason, so I do not want to waste my time to fill a complement form because it will be another paper in their desk. I hope that the owner knows about these problems and solve them for the good of his company. To conclude with, be aware of this problems.
Annette MartinDO NOT use these movers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible experience. The quote they gave was almost doubled and I was not told until after their truck was almost completely loaded. The kept promising a delivery date and never arrived. It took almost 1 month to get my stuff. They damaged things and I had many things missing, which I did not discover until I unpacked everything. They were unwilling to compensate for anything. Definitely one of the worst experiences and nightmares of my life. It would not let me give no stars which is exactly what they earned, so had to chose one star to post my review.
Ashley XOIf you are planning a long distance/cross country move, take note! I strongly suggest you avoid "5 star" Movers. I couldn't stand the thought of selling off my precious furniture to avoid the high cost of moving cross country. I finally found 5 Star and they gave me a really attractive rate, pretty much half of what the best movers were charging. Let's just say I would have been better off selling. Pickup in Boston went smoothly and they carefully wrapped all of my furniture. Then they proceeded to detach the legs from my favorite piece, the farm table all the while ensuring me that it'll be ok. Drop off in Austin is where it started to get annoying. It took almost 4 weeks and they gave me no window of when to expect my shipment. After calling numerous times they just repeatedly informed me of a 24hr notice and that's all they could do. I couldn't leave town or make any serious plans for a month. Driver finally called to tell me he would arrive from 10am-11am the next morning. I call at 9am to confirm and he is just waking up! Tells me he had a ruff night and he will make it at 1pm. Finally at 6pm he calls to tell me he'll be there at 8. They unload and guess what?! The legs from my table are missing, which makes it completely useless. My standing mirror is missing, and so is a huge bag of my shoes and accessories. I'm heartbroken, angry and quite honestly exhausted from this process. Also, they tricked me into signing the wrong line on the insurance sheet that waives the Full Level of protection which they are required to provide. Just unreal! Please pay attention to what you are signing! I can only pray they'll do right by me and replace my items. The lady that answers the phone never returned my phone calls. I had to call repeatedly to get any answers, which she never has.

Jean Hayesi would recommend to anyone. courteous fast efficient. they waste no time even though job was by the hour. the company was friendly and easy to deal with. we had to reschedule the move a few times and there was no negativity from the company. the hourly charge for three men and the truck was extremely fair. the travel time was very fair. there were no extra or hidden charges. the men were pleasant, hard working and very accommodating. we would definitely use again. we plan to send a gift certificate for a nice dinner for the three movers. they deserve five stars as their name states..
Kristen LambDo not trust these people with your things or anything they tell you. My experience was this: for starters, their prices are not exactly competitive to begin with, but I was forced to use them as they were the only ones in my area who could do it on a given day which I could not be flexible with. They gave me a quote, which was verified by a third, experienced and legitimate party given an extensive, detailed inventory of what was going to be picked up. Conveniently, after they had my things in their possession, the "quote" was nearly twice the balance they had given me initially. I've moved these same items multiple times, so I'm aware of what it costs as well as about how much space and weight it has. Their weight was well off, and I seriously doubt that this was legitimate. Also, to boot, their initial price for putting my things in storage for an additional month jumped in price after they had my things in their possession by 11% from the initial price they gave me less than a month earlier before they had my things in their possession. I haven't gotten my things from them yet, but rest assured, I will be checking my inventory given their previous practices with me. Also, it's interesting to me that they want cash or money order upon delivery. Hmm, I wonder why that would be. Most certainly they can not be trusted if given cash. DO NOT PUT YOUR THINGS IN THE HANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE PROFESSIONALISM OF CONMEN. This was a one bedroom place, and my stuff is mostly light weight furniture and some boxes!

Sunilkumar CmWorst Worst Moving company, no patience to talk with customers, no updates. They are good till pickup & order booking, once they picked up they will simply say to call on Friday for update on delivery, if we call on Friday they will say call on Monday & this will go like that. Their simple sentence be patience but to my surprise they do not have patience. They do not accept the quote what they given & they will charge at delivery. I strongly do not recommend this moving company for anybody. They took 25 days from the day of picking to delivery. But finally they delivered
Daunielle RicardiI’ve used these guys twice in the last 6 years and thought they did a fantastic job, IMHO. I live in the Boston area - which means tight quarters as far as stairwells etc. They wrapped everything they deemed necessary for protection as well as anything I requested in something soft (including my antique wooden chest). Even the dresser they wrapped in a moving seran wrap to keep the drawers intact (also an antique). There was a challenge at one apartment with moving the couch (to which they did wrap in a moving blanket to protect the walls and the furniture. They were able to figure out how to get it upstairs. They also took apart and rebuilt assembled furniture far quicker and put back together much tighter than I would have been able! I am moving in 3 weeks again and I already have them scheduled for next time. The movers themselves were very friendly, and amicable as well.
sjmercerDON’T USE FIVE STAR MOVERS IF YOU VALUE YOUR ITEMS. I start this negative review with complete disclosure. The movers themselves worked hard and efficient. I even wrote a nice review for them because they are hard workers. However... Don’t use them. They broke my flat screen television. I didn’t learn this until cable installers came to setup in the new home, which is why the movers received a good review, initially. But here’s what occurred once I learned of the damage and filed the claim... First you should know, when they come to move you, before they move one item, they make you sign the lading form. This form values your items at .60-cents a pound. I say ‘make’ you sign it because if you don’t sign it, they don’t move a thing. So, if you want or need to move when they arrive, you need to sign. Now that you’ve signed it, they begin to move. But because you signed it, anything they break will not be worth more than .60-cents per pound with a maximum of $30.00. So, this means if you have a $2,000 television, you won’t get more than $30.00 if they break it. If you have a $3,000 Rolex watch and they drop it and crack the crystal face, you wouldn’t get more than $.60-cents. When filing a claim please know that Five Stars uses an independent insurance facilitator named CSI. So, once they’re done moving your items, they are essentially done with you. CSI makes you fill out the insurance claim. This is a lengthy online form to assess the value and requires you submit evidence of the damage, such as photos of the damage and model, make, and year of the item. Once you complete and submit it, you have to then wait about 30-days for them to review and get back to you. While waiting for a response, I purchased a new television since we were in a our new home and wanted to have a television. I also figured we would receive a fair and reasonable amount for the television they broke, so the difference wouldn’t be that big of an amount. When CSI did get back to us, after all that prepareation of the claim, the settlement offer was $30. To add insult to injury, the CSI reply also included a link to our damaged television on Amazon showing the television’s value at $500. Now, had CSI offered the claim of $500, that would’ve been completely acceptable by me because the depreciation of the television would be applied. I get that and accept that. But to cap the offer at $30 because of the lading form and then send a claim offer of $30 with evidence showing the television valued at $500 is insulting and extremely unfair. Here’s the real scam, though. When you’re moving you have a place you have to move out by a certain date and time and another place you have committed to moving into via deposit and signed lease or mortgage. So, when Five Stars Movers arrive and tell you that you have to sign the lading form before they move your items, you have a choice. Don’t sign and they leave without moving anything or sign and they’re not going to be liable for more than $30 or less if they break, damage or lose anything. In reality, you have no choice. The choice you do have now though is to not use Five Stars Movers. Go with a fair and professional moving company that will respect and fairly reimburse you for your hard earned belongings. So, DON’T USE FIVE STAR MOVERS IF YOU VALUE YOUR ITEMS.
Andrew GriffinBait and Switch!!!! Straight LIERS!! Run Away. Lie #1: Representative told me “At most, you will receive your stuff by the 20th CALENDAR day from when we pick it up.” Fact: Today is day 20! I just called and was told “well, we think it will be 2 more days, but we cant guarantee it. In fact, we dont even know where it is.” BS. This should be all you need to know as a shopper. Lie #2: Representative told me “if we are not there by Day 20, then you don’t have to pay the remaining balance.” Fact: Was just told by another Representative “Sorry, that is not how it works”. Ohhh, so how it works is ‘We say one thing, but do another’ and ‘sorry, we cant tell you when you will get your stuff or even where it is.’ Conclusion....it is Day 20, a customer does not have their stuff, and they just dont care.

Andrew MalkinI Would highly recommend Five Star Movers. We moved from a one bedroom in Brighton to a two bedroom in Malden on 8/31 (second worst moving day of the year). Five star arrived gave us a window between eight and nine, but arrived a little before eight and had us in our new place by eleven! They handled our furniture and belongings with care as well as disassembled and reassembled our bed frames and couch legs. Erika our customer service rep was so helpful and got right back to us with any questions and Tony the head mover made the whole process stress free. I'm not looking to move again anytime soon. But when I do, I'll be calling Five Star.

SueAnn McKeonAbsolutely the best moving company in the northeast! Gustav and his team of four arrived on time as scheduled. They worked together diligently wrapping, disassembling and reassembling beds, tables, etc. taking the utmost care to protect our furnishings and walls. They were very fast and efficient and completed the move a little earlier than quoted. Further, we received quotes from 3 other local NH movers and they all came in higher that 5 Star. So it was obvious to us who to select. If anyone asks me for a mover recommendation I am going to refer them to Erika at 5 Star Movers to get the ball rolling! Well done guys!
Jessica SinatraThey should change their name to "One Star or less". This was the worst moving experience we could encounter. We moved cross country (east coast to west) and this company was a NIGHTMARE! They never wrote down our moving address when I called to inform them, 15 days later I called to get an update and they claimed that they never spoke to us. 39 days later; after multiple calls, emails, and texts from both us and the broker that recommended them, we finally got a call informing us they would be delivering our furniture the following day between 10am and 1pm. On that given delivery date, no show. No one called to inform us and no one responded to the multiple calls and emails. At 7pm (6 hours after our delivery time) the delivery guy calls with a vague, unbelievable excuse and reschedules for the next day. This company is horrible!!! If anyone rated them above a one, I believe they are either family/friends or paid to lie. It should not be impossible to reach the moving company you have hired for over 30 days, no one is that busy! Next time we move, we will rent our own truck... it would be much less stress! You should do the same before even considering hiring this company.
