Rockledge, located about 20 minutes outside of Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic Coast of Florida, is a city with a population of around 28,000 people. People are incredibly friendly and the schools are above average for the state, while falling about average against the rest of the country. While there are not a lot of job opportunities within the suburb itself, it’s not very far from Titusville and Melbourne, both of which have a lot of great job opportunities. Since the area is not as populated as some other metro areas in Florida, commuting is definitely an option that many people consider. The most common industries that people work in are tourism and health care.
As you would expect, there are a number of great opportunities for senior citizens here, as well. The golf club is very popular and always has activities going on throughout the year. On top of that, there are all sorts of festivals that happen throughout the year.
